Product Information

This Millenco Mantis 3 multipoint door lock features no locking points and is suitable for the passive door on a pair of French doors.

This Millenco mantis 3 passive lock is a slave door version of the Mantis 3 with 92mm centres.

Millenco Mantis 3 multipoint door locks are third generation Millenco locks. In contrast to the unique measurements of the Mantis 1 and 2, they feature measurements of 92mm and 62mm centres (PZ) and now form part of the Yale group of companies.

Mantis 3 multipoint locks are available 3 different variants: 2 hooks and 3 deadbolts, 3 hooks and 2 deadbolts with 2 rollers and passive lock version. Historically, these locks have been available with a 20mm faceplate, but they are now only available with a 16mm faceplate.

Identifying a Millenco Mantis 3 multipoint door lock not as straightforward as the original Mantis 1 and 2 variants. The easiest way is to check the locking points for the unique hook and deadbolt arrangement to identify the lock as a Millenco and then measure the centres to confirm 92mm/62mm as the Mantis 3. This is the best way to ensure that you have the correct lock as early versions of these locks had no brand stamped on the faceplate.

Earlier versions of the Mantis 3 lock had hook positions in slightly different locations to their modern equivalents. Normally, the difference is only 20mm or so, so they can be made to fit old versions with little work.

Millenco Mantis 3 gearboxes are only available in one configuration and backset. The configuration is double spindle for lift lever or double spindle nightlatch operation. The only backset available is 35mm. However, they are available with either a hook or a deadbolt in the main gearbox.

Mantis 3 gearboxes measure 228mm high by 50mm wide. Hookbolt versions feature a central hook bolt that throws downwards and is 30mm high and a latch which measures 30mm high. There is 78mm between the bottom of the latch and the top of the hook. The deadbolt version has the same measurements but features a deadbolt instead of a hookbolt.

Unlike the original Mantis gearboxes, the Mantis 3 gearbox can be removed by undoing the 3 fixing screws.
