The Saracen 11 & 12 gearboxes, with a black cover plate, connect to the rods by pushing in and twisting them to lock into place.
Early versions had a metal faceplate and are also stamped Halo, WHS and Bowater
Extension pieces are supplied separately.
These gearboxes have a 22mm backset and are handed. To ensure the correct hand is chosen see the handing details below.
- SARACEN11 - Right Hand
For side hung windows when viewed from inside:
Gearbox positioned on the left side of the window, arrow on deadbolt points downwards.
For top hung windows when viewed from inside:
Positioned at the bottom of the window, arrow on deadbolt points to the right.
- SARACEN12 - Left Hand
For side hung windows when viewed from inside:
Gearbox positioned on the right side of the window, arrow on deadbolt points downwards.
For top hung windows when viewed from inside:
Positioned at the bottom of the window, arrow on deadbolt points to the left.
