This Fullex Crimebeater multipoint door lock features 2 Hooks, 1 Deadbolt & 1 Latch.

A 2 hook Fullex Crimebeater with a 20mm rounded faceplate.

Ideal for new fit timber/composite doors.

The Fullex Crimebeater is engineered to provide long term reliability and security. Widely specified, Fullex Crimebeater has been fitted to hundreds of thousands of doors in the UK.

Available with 3 deadbolt and 2 hook and deadbolt variants, in 20mm steel or 44mm wrap around white aluminium powder coated faceplates. The Crimebeater was previously available with a flat 16mm faceplate, but those locks are no longer manufacturered. We'd recommend a case swap or repair lock as a replacement.

Fullex Crimebeater multipoint door locks are available as either a deadbolt or hookbolt variant, but the locking points are in the same position, regardless of which version you choose. Identifying a Fullex Crimebeater is largely the same as identifying a Fullex XL lock. Very early versions of this lock did not have Fullex stamped on the faceplate, but checking the gearbox will help identify the lock. The top corner is cut off and it will feature a latch and deadbolt (XL series locks feature a latch and hookbolt).

Crimebeater locks can also be verified by checking the measurements of the external deadbolts and hookbolts. The top hook or deadbolt will measure 686mm from the top spindle in the gearbox. The bottom hook or deadbolt will measure 714mm to the top spindle.

Fullex Crimebeater gearboxes are available in 35mm, 45mm and 55mm backsets in double spindle configuration only, allowing them to be used as lift lever or double spindle nightlatch lock.

Crimebeater gearboxes measure 227mm high by the backset + 15mm. These gearboxes attach to their strips with three equidistant screws. The middle screw is 108mm from the top, which is also 108mm from the bottom screw.

These gearboxes all feature a deadbolt and latch. The latch is 24mm hight, the deadbolt is 30mm high and the distance from the bottom of the latch to the top of the deadbolt is 72mm.

Crimebeater gearboxes also feature a snib on the faceplate that can be used to hold back the latch.

Fullex Crimebeater hooks are made from chrome plated A3 hardened cast steel. Each outer hook is not accompanied by a pinbolt, as is the case with the XL lock.

On Crimebeater locks, both hooks throw downwards.

Crimebeater external deadbolts are manufacture red from chrome plated A3 hardened cast steel.

How do I find out the operation of my multipoint door lock?

  • 1. If you only use the key to unlock all of the locking points then the operation is called Key Wind.

Always measure in millimetres.

  • 1. Backset – Measure the distance from the edge of the faceplate back to where the key goes into the door cylinder.
  • 2. Centres – Measure the distance from centre of handle spindle down to where the key goes into the door cylinder.
  • 3. Locking points – Measure the distance from centre of the locking point to the centre of handle spindle then repeat for other locking points.
  • 4. Faceplate – Measure the distance across the width of the face and full length of the faceplate.
