Nightlatches are a common locking product found mainly on residential front doors. They ordinarily feature a single sprung latch locking point which engages automatically when the door is shut, securing the property. Electronic nightlatches can also be released via an electronic Pulse. This pulse activates a solenoid which releases the Latch bolt, which then returns into the lock case under spring tension allowing the door to be opened. Often used on communal entrances or in conjunction with intercom systems on residential and commercail entrance doors
These Cisa Electronic nightlatches are supplied with a rim cylinder and 3 keys, and the solenoids are designed to operate from a 12V AC electronic pulse. A red internal manual release button will also open the nightlatch from inside.
