Yale Gearboxes have been made in numerous different styles and this guide will help you identify the correct version.
Yale incorporates the Paddock and Lockmaster brands and has made bespoke locks for a huge number of customers including Mila and Safeware.
G710
The Yale G710 consisted of a centre case with attachments for rods which connected deadbolts top and bottom, primarily used on aluminium doors there were a vast number of variations which included long forends, cranked forends, extended latch and deadbolts. The case is a shiny metallic finish and will usually have 2 numbers stamped onto the side (89,96,98 etc) this is the year of manufacture.
These locks are no longer manufactured and replacements depend on the centre case but all options will involve disengaging the top and bottom deadbolts and having the door run off a centre case only.
Replacement: No direct replacement available. See the relevant model for suggested alternative.
